We are proud to announce that

the Working Mothers Program is here

We just accepted the first family in Working Mothers Program;

please, read about it on our Home Page.

The program is available for full-time working mothers, and the potential candidates must meet certain criteria to qualify.

The family can stay in our shelter on a temporary basis for 3 to 6 months, during which the woman is obligated to save a significant portion of her income and attend training meetings. Please, contact us for more details.

Boys and Girls Club of Clifton:

We would like to thank Mr. Bob Foster, the executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton for a free membership for our children. They enjoy swimming very much; what they learn in the Club, they continue practicing over summer.

Graduation:

Two of our mothers: Marianela and Raqueal graduated from Dover Business School at the Berkeley College. Congratulations !!! We are very proud of you.

Fathers are included:

Just in the middle of April 2012 we launched a new program to give fathers a chance to spend more time with their children and have a dinner with their families.

Members of local churches such as Powerhouse of Clifton, Calvary Temple of Wayne, Jacksonville Chapel of Lincoln Park, Emergence of Totowa and Apostolic Church of Passaic are involved to provide additional support. This is an evening of boys type of fun where kids can be louder and play can be rougher. Dinner is served by Empanata Spanish Grill.

Each end of the year is the time when we count our blessings and bless those who bless us. We would like to thank all our volunteers and donors for making Holiday Season very special for our families. Thank you all very much for financial support and donation of your time; thank you for cooking, decorating, buying gifts, thank you for music, Christmas shows, arts and crafts, thank you for being there for us.

Our first Open House brought a lot of people who were with us from the humble and not so easy beginning. We were honored by a visit of Mayor James Anzaldi, a representative from Congressman Bill Pascrell, Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, Jacksonville Chapel, First United Reformed Church, Catholic Charities, Clifton Board of Education and many others. Thank you "Cheffie" Christine for making this event special; we greatly appreciate your donation of time and resources and we also thank Evelyn for helping us to organize everything for this special occasion. You and Christine are a great team !!!
